Uniting Oregon to Take a Stand Against Trafficking!
The Oregon Human Trafficking Project (OHTP) is reaching out to Oregon’s communities to bring people together to form a broad base of support that will facilitate education and training for law enforcement, support for services for victims of trafficking, and awareness raising in counties across the state. It also includes introducing and enacting Oregon’s first effective human trafficking statute. This law will bring justice to victims and send a message to traffickers that Oregon will no longer be their safe haven.
To achieve this, the OHTP will lead advocacy efforts at the Capitol, plan citizen lobby days, host rallies with Oregon’s trafficking victims as event speakers, and distribute buttons, stickers, and information packets to raise awareness of this important issue.
