SALEM, OR – The Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance (OAA) will present State Senator Ted Ferrioli with The Public Safety Champions Award at a May luncheon. Ferrioli is a public safety champion because he scored 100 percent on the OAA 2009-2010 Scorecard.
The Scorecard encompassed 19 bills critical to public safety. “The Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance is grateful to have a strong ally in our legislature who is not afraid to stand up for public safety issues. Senator Ferrioli voted against early release of violent felons, and this is a critical issue to us,” said Tara Lawrence; Executive Director for Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance.
“We thank Senator Ferrioli for standing with OAA against early release of violent felons and voting with OAA to pass many good bills which will reduce crime in Oregon,” said Lawrence.
The Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance is actively engaged with the legislature to keep them informed of critical public safety policy. We are committed to our mission as an organization to reduce crime and enhance public safety. The Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance works with citizens and legislators to help Oregon become one of the top five safest states in the country.
